Mooch’s First Rhyme

Mooch be patrollin’ in a corolla rollin’
causin’ a ruckus with his first attempt to flowin’
workin’ like a banshee thru the midnight hours
with the lessons he’s learned he could rebuild the twin towers

goin’ down a path with just one goal in mind
not knowin’ where to go or even what he’ll find
keepin’ strong, stayin’ motivated, stickin’ to his passion
learnin’ new tricks, new skills, gainin’ that traction

homelessness has many faces you can seem ‘em all over
you can trust Mooch or not, but most of ‘em are fully sober
some have families, some have cars, some have laptops and ipads
you’d like be surprised to learn how much that Mooch has

don’t judge a book by its cover or a man by his clothes
don’t judge his hair or his car or the people he knows
just say hi, my name is Frank, how are you today?
with that small gesture you’re bound to make his day

for all you know he could be your next best friend
he could be all over Facebook and a musician
with more than five thousand friends you just might be one of ‘em
and tomorrow who knows, you might be sittin’ next to ‘em!

many different types of people have become homeless
Sam Worthington from Avatar, Halle Berry from Swordfish
millionaires, billionaires, nobel prize winners
best selling authors and fellow entrepreneurs

you see my name is Mooch and I’m a homeless entrepreneur
first unemployed for 13 months, now a small business owner
I have a job, and a car, and gym membership
only thing I want now is a meaningful friendship
