Mooch on Radio Advocating Homelessness

I was fortunate to advocate homelessness live on radio on the Conway & Steckler Show on March 25th @ 9:30pm. You may listen to the uninterrupted audio via the link below by scrolling down and clicking on PLAY or DOWNLOAD for the 9pm slot. I do not own this audio, I am simply sharing a portion of the Conway & Steckler radio show which they discuss me and my homelessness situation.

Mooch on Radio 1 of 2 / 3+ minutes
Mooch on Radio 2 of 2 / 11+ minutes

Keep in mind, it is a radio host’s job to exaggerate and belittle people on the radio. I took no offense to their commentary and I feel very grateful they gave me by the opportunity to inform 1000s of the positive side of homelessness, proving it is only a transition and not the end of the road.

Times to listen are 00:00 – 03:10 & 18:08 – 29:28.

Fantastic interview Mooch, you did a great job.
Wow Conway & Steckler really focused on homeless ppl having MH issues! I do believe that when people don’t *choose* to be homeless & their situation becomes long-term, obviously the challenges will start to wear them down emotionally, but I certainly wouldn’t label them mentally ill!

Your situation is a bit different- you chose it, it’s working for you & you’re achieving things :) You have the best attitude Mooch keep shining the light for other homeless people <3

Crazy how people like Conway & Steckler, and frankly most of our modern american culture have so many pre-conceived notions about what it should take for people to be happy, normal, etc. Why should it be “normal” to work like a dog only to give the majority over to others in taxes and rent/mortgage, while basic necessities like food and health care, health necessities and education have to go by the wayside? This concept to me screams of a sickness that our society chooses to propagate: g-r-e-e-d!

There are everyday people who are housed, some are doing well and some struggle horribly. There are everyday people who are NOT-housed, some are doing well and some struggle horribly. The difference is in the attitude you maintain and how you let it affect you. I like your attitude Mooch. Someday you may choose to again lived “housed”, but maybe not. But I for one salute you for being true to yourself in however you choose to live your life. Keep up the fight guy, you are an inspiration to many.
