Lately it seems that when the weather is cloudy and cold, I tend to sleep in on accident. Today I was awoken at 10:30am by a phone call from a homeless friend who lives in her van here in socal. I’m glad she called because who knows when I would have woken up. And I could never complain about being woken up by a beautiful woman. Hey, you’d be surprised who is homeless nowadays, trust me.
After a long conversation, we said our goodbyes so we can become more productive through this raining Saturday afternoon. I chose to take a drive to check my po box in Hollywood to see if my sunglasses had come in that I purchased on eBay. I think it’s my first purchase on eBay, so I’m eager to see what the products arrive in.
Unfortunately, no sunglasses. Just a couple envelopes for my friend whom I share the po box with, and a slip saying that I received a package which I need to pickup at the front counter. The package was made out to ‘Mooch’ – hmm… I am not expecting anything to arrive under that name. I waited in line for about 16 hours (well maybe it was more like 30 minutes) trying to think of what the package could be. I did have a birfday last week, so maybe someone sent me a birfday gift? I couldn’t think of anything else.
When I received the package, it had a sticker on the front that read, “Google: Engage for Agencies”. Hmm… I still haven’t a clue what the heck this could be. Is Google sending me something? Is this just some random sticker someone put on the box before sending it to me? Is this a bomb? Naw… I don’t think I’m that special – yet.
I cross the street, climb into the Mooch Mobile, and cut open the 8″ by 8″ white box. I love presents! When I got it opened, the first thing I saw was a cover letter with Google’s brand and corresponding verbiage about me and my website development business. Turns out, this package really is being sent to me by Google headquarters in northern California, thanking me for joining their Google Engage program, where they give you 20 $100 Google Adwords coupons to help grow your business by allowing your clients to start an Adwords campaign for free, and with a credit of $100. But I already received my 20 coupons when I signed up online, so what the heck are they sending me in this big box?
As I kept reading, I noticed below the piece of paper several CD sized envelopes with a golden Google Adwords $100 gift card inside. There were 10 of them! They sent me another $1,000 in Google Adwords coupons! Check out what else they sent me!

Oh man, my friend Gary of homelesslife.com is going to be so mad I actually got a Google hat just like his LOL!!
Do you want to get your hands on some free Google Adwords coupons? I certainly recommend joining Google Engage – it’s free and as you can see, I’ve already received $3,000 worth of free coupons from them within the past 2 months and some other cool free stuff!
Not bad for a cloudy and rainy Saturday huh? Woohoo!
