My closet is very important to me. It’s got everything I need! CLOTHES. Our clothes are statements of our individuality. Our clothes and personal styles are extensions of our personalities. Even if you’re broke, looking good according to your own style, is important. Here’s part 1 on how you stay so fresh and so clean clean on a tight budget.
So, we’ve already established that times are tight right now for a lot of us. But even in tight times, we can still look good. If you look good, you feel good. If you feel good, you play good. If you play good, you get paid good! Sounds simple, right? Well, it IS! Let’s face the facts, not all of us can afford an $80 dollar polo from Abercrombie right now. We want that polo! We NEED that polo! But it just doesn’t fit into the budget right now. Here’s what’s really crackin’… A lot of places carry similar styles for WAY cheaper. Ross, Target, JC Penney and even Old Navy carries similar styles. Now the fit may not be as good as The ‘Crombie, but hey, we’re on a damn budget!!
I’ve blown through thousands of dollars on clothes. But now is not the time, so we’re reverting to other means… like THRIFT STORES. Now wait a minute before you roll your little eyes and cop an attitude with me. Thrift Stores, Salvation Army and The Goodbill has some really nice clothes! Remember, these places get donations from people from all walks of life. Sometimes you’ll come across a little diamond in the rough, a little gem if you will. Nice clothes are to be found throughout these places on the daily. I found an Armani button down dress shirt, a Diesel jacket and some other knock-off dressy shirts that look hella slick! But the best part? THE CLOTHES ARE DIRT CHEAP. Go peep some Goodbills and Thrift Stores near you and watch your little eyes light up.
The only thing when shopping on a budget at places like these for cool kid clothes, is the search. Be forewarned that it may take a little while to find something good. But that’s the fun part! It’s exciting. So go ahead and make my day. Better yet, make your day and find some cool new fits!
