Homeless Mom Asks for Help to See Daughter in Critical Condition

I have a trustworthy friend, a woman who is unemployed and homeless in central California, that contacted me last night asking for help ASAP in getting to Texas. Her newly turned 23 year old daughter, who just returned from Afghanistan as she has been in the USAF for 3.5 years, is in the hospital in critical condition.

My friend gave me permission to ask for help publicly without mentioning names as this is a critical and personal circumstance her and her family is forced to deal with.

Mom is in Sacramento, CA. Daughter is in San Antonio, TX in the hospital in critical condition.

I’m asking you folks able to read this if you can help get a bus or plane ticket at a discounted price from California to Texas ASAP to help this family in need.

Please contact me with any advice you may have or if you’re fortunate enough to consider a monetary donation you may click the donate button at the bottom left of this page. Red Cross has already said no and the Traveler’s International Aid has a waiting list.

I will also contribute to the cost to help out my friend, but I cannot pay for it all. Please share this post and let’s help out a friend. Thank you.

UPDATE: through your awesome help our friend got a plane ticket to Texas to see her daughter face-to-face! :) Now we need to get her back to Sacramento before June 25th to start her new job. When we help each other we progress each other’s lives. That’s what is happening here. So thank you.
