See that photo? That’s my $700+ invoice for the Mooch Mobile after she died on the freeway last Monday evening. I’m happy to report today that the bill has been paid in full with the majority of the invoice paid with your donations!! THANK YOU!!
hehe
I don’t know what to say except I honestly immensely appreciate all of you who shared my post and got the word out about my unfortunate circumstance that helped me find over $500 in donations to help me pay to have the timing belt replaced on my loyal vehicle aka home.
As you may or may not know, I’ve had 25% of my wages garnished from my security job making me lose $400/mo which is why I no longer have any savings. But a couple days ago I called the state and asked them to reduce the percentage taken from my checks, so starting later this month the state will be garnishing 12.5% per paycheck instead of 25%. Considering, that is really good news.
I want to thank you all by name and tell the world those who helped me, but I understand that sometimes donors wish to remain anonymous, so I will respect that and simply say thank you to those of you special people personally.
#IDEA: This is the second time I’ve generated $100s in donations to a worthy cause, so maybe this is something I should get into to help non-profits or other homeless individuals. Remember the single mom with 2 daughters you all helped me get a hotel room for a couple weeks? I’m happy to report they are all housed and doing much better than last year. All I did was get the word out via Twitter and Facebook and even this YouTube video, but it worked. So I want to do more of that. If you need this kind of help, please let me know!
Thank you everyone, for if it weren’t for you, my job, clients and well-being would have been affected dramatically. sMooch from Mooch!
